I am a PhD Candidate in Economics at Cornell University. My research lies at the intersection of Development Economics and Political Economy. I use applied empirical methods to study how natural resource wealth affects local economic development, labor markets, and the behavior of incumbent politicians in developing countries.

Before Cornell, I received a Master of Public Policy from the University of Chicago and a B.A. in Economics from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP), where I am currently an adjunct faculty member. I have also held research positions at the University of Chicago and ETH Zurich, and have provided consulting services to the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank.

My work has been published in the Review of Development Economics, Environment and Development Economics, and Extractive Industries and Society.
